The greatest power in the universe is already inside you
Every power humanity has found changes the outside world. Fire changed food, the wheel changed distance, electricity changed the night. None of them touched the man they were made for. He is still standing where he was: the same fear, the same envy, the same restlessness.
A king two hundred years ago had less comfort than an ordinary person today. No cooling, no fridge, no phone, no medicine. You live in more comfort than that king. Are you more content than him? No. Everything outside got better, and the person inside stayed where he was.
Whatever you want, wealth, health, a relationship, peace, or the thing you cannot name but feel the lack of every day, the shortest and most powerful road to it is meditation. Not because it gives you something new. Because it removes the noise between you and what was always there.
Your attention is like sunlight falling on a courtyard all day: endless energy, and nothing happens. Put a small lens in front of it and there is fire. Same sun, same energy. The only difference is scattered light and focused light. Meditation is the lens. And there is no other way to hold it steady than to sit, every day, at the right angle.
