1-Day First Light

One day to begin.

You arrive in the morning, tired and busy, with your mind running. By sunset you have learned what it means to sit with yourself, felt your breath slow down, and spent an afternoon in silence. No overnight stay. A first step that changes how the rest of the week feels.

The journey.

Morning

Why your mind runs

Meet the group, then the science of autopilot: ego, stress hormones, and why sitting with yourself is the answer.

Midday

Breath and body

Gentle yoga, your first counted breathing, a short guided meditation, a slow walk.

Afternoon

An afternoon in silence

A body scan, time alone in a quiet corner, a silent sitting.

Evening

Taking it home

Your questions, ten minutes for every morning at home, and a sunset sitting.

How a day feels.

The morning is talk and learning, and the group laughs and gets to know each other. After lunch the bell rings and the place goes quiet. You lie down for a body scan, sit alone under a tree, and notice how loud your mind was. As the sun goes down you sit outside together, and the day closes with one word from each of you.

Silence and the few rules

Phones are handed in on arrival. Be in the hall before the bell. Keep the colour of the day. No intoxicants. Please do not pick or eat anything growing at the place. If anything feels wrong, write a note or come to the reception.

Green

Talk freely. The first day, the last day, the circles.

Yellow

Quiet, but a soft word when you need something.

White

Full silence. Even a nod can wait.

In every colour you can ask the teacher your questions in the daily dialogue, or write a note. Help is always one step away.
