We spend our whole lives looking for peace, happiness and calm. Each of these is an inner state, yet we keep searching for them outside: in mountains, tours, shrines and meditation centres. The noisy mind comes along wherever we go.

Every time we react blindly to a feeling in the body, a knot forms in the subconscious: of anger, fear, craving, shame and regret. These knots become our personality, and they are the real root of our suffering. This course is a practical way to untie them.

It is not a guided meditation, and it is not magic. You are taught the technique with all its reasons, and then you sit alone, so the practice never depends on anyone’s voice. Every step can be checked against your own experience.

Safdar Sahar gives you the map; the walking is yours.

What you will learn

  • Why peace and happiness are inner states that can never be found outside
  • How blind reactions to sensations in the body create knots in the subconscious
  • A practical technique to watch sensations without reacting, refined a little each day
  • How to prepare your room, your family and your mind for ten days of silence
  • What happens day by day, from the difficult first days to the silence that follows
  • A tool you keep for life, to clear your own mind whenever darkness returns

Who it is for

  • Anyone who lives under a quiet, constant sadness, or has everything except meaning
  • Working people who give their best hours to a job that feels empty
  • Students and entrepreneurs whose focus has been scattered by screens
  • Those who live far away, or want to test themselves before a retreat

How the ten days work

One video each evening

From 8 to 9 pm you watch the next day’s private video. It is your only screen time of the day.

Three things in every video

What you went through today, what tomorrow will bring, and tomorrow’s technique, which changes a little each day.

Your daily routine

The day begins at 4 am and ends at 9 pm, with about ten hours of meditation spread through it, with breaks and walking. You build up to it gradually.

What to expect

The first days are hard, and the mind will give a thousand reasons to stop. Around the fourth or fifth day, a new silence begins.

Your set and setting

  • A room of your own for all ten days
  • A digital fast: phone, laptop and watch locked away
  • Complete silence, not a word or a gesture
  • No cigarettes or intoxicants of any kind
  • Simple, light vegetarian food, two meals a day
  • One family member as a silent caretaker
This course is intense, and it is not right for everyone. Please speak to your doctor first if you are being treated for a diagnosed mental illness, take psychiatric medicine, have ever had thoughts of taking your own life, or have been through a severe breakdown. If you have diabetes or high blood pressure, or are pregnant, follow your doctor’s advice on food and long sittings. If you have recently lost someone close, wait a few months. And if at any moment it feels like too much, stopping is wisdom, not failure.

Get it in a bundle.
