Health notice
Please read before you book any retreat, tour or session.
Last updated 22 October 2026. Draft for legal review.
Not treatment
Meditation, the retreats, the tours, the courses and the sessions are not medical or psychological treatment, diagnosis or therapy, and are not a substitute for them.
Talk to your doctor first
If you live with a serious physical or mental health condition, are pregnant, have had a recent operation, or take regular medicine, please talk to your doctor before booking and tell us on the health form.
Never stop a medicine
Do not stop or change any medicine for a retreat, tour or course.
Who should not come
Anyone in a mental health crisis, with active psychosis or a recent manic episode, with severe depression and thoughts of self-harm, or with a very recent major loss, should not come to a silent retreat without a doctor’s written approval. Please speak to us; the one-day retreat, the courses at home or an online session may be a better first step.
Tours
Mountain roads, weather and altitude (up to 4,700 metres on some routes) carry real risks. People with heart or breathing conditions must consult their doctor.
Difficult moments
Strong feelings can surface in silence. This is normal. The team is present at every moment, and you can ask for help with a note or by coming to the reception.
Emergencies
Every retreat and tour has a first-aid kit, a vehicle on standby and the nearest hospital identified. Your emergency contact is informed if needed.
